Toyota and Ford were the big winners as Vincentric announced its 20th annual Vincentric Best Value in America Awards.

Toyota was named the Best Value passenger car brand for the ninth time and Best Value SUV and Van brand for the seventh time, and seven of its models won their segment. Ford earned the Best Value truck brand award for the eighth time to go with five model-level awards.

Lexus won the brand award in the luxury car category and Tesla was named the top value brand for luxury SUVs.

“The Vincentric Best Value in America Awards have been providing guidance to American consumers for 20 years,” Vincentric president David Wurster said. “Our awards are a trusted, unbiased source of insight to buyers who are in the market for a new vehicle.

“Choosing a Best Value in America Award-winning model helps give consumers confidence they are making an informed decision and their new vehicle will deliver best-in-class value for their money.”

Toyota’s model winners included the Sienna, which recorded its seventh victory in the minivan segment, along with the Corolla Hybrid, Prius Prime, Camry Hybrid, RAV4 Prime, Venza and Sequoia.

Ford swept all four segments in the truck category, led by the F-150 Lightning, which earned its second win in a row and the 11th overall for the F-150 series in the full-size 1/2-ton pickup segment.

The F-250 won its class for the sixth time and the F-350 took its eighth award. The Maverick Hybrid claimed the small/midsize truck award, and the Mustang was named the Best Value sports car.

Lexus’ RC and ES Hybrid, along with the RX Hybrid SUV, propelled that brand to the top in the luxury category, while Tesla’s Model Y was the Best Value luxury compact SUV for the second consecutive year.

Audi also had two model-level winners, the A7 (luxury large sedan) and A6 Allroad (luxury wagon), while BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Mini each had one award-winning model.

Vincentric evaluated nearly 2,000 vehicle configurations on cost of ownership using depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs.

The company said it determines the Best Value in America winners with a statistical model that measures which vehicles had lower-than-expected ownership costs given their market segment and price.
